Archistar Award
AIA Rhode Island is pleased to continue the annual ArchiStar Awards program. The purpose of the program is to honor individuals who make outstanding contributions to architecture but who are not Architects. Any AIA Rhode Island member may nominate an individual who has made significant contributions to a specific project or has had success in a particular program or initiative. Examples of potential nominees include, but are not limited to, owners, consultants, contractors, educators, and government officials.
Architect of Distinction Award (NEW!)
This award recognizes a registered Architect who demonstrates an outstanding contribution to the practice of Architecture throughout their career. This contribution can be through design excellence, public service, leadership, mentorship / education, innovation, or a combination of all of the above. Unlike Fellowship or other similar honors, AIAri is looking to celebrate individuals who have contributed to Rhode Island in particular.
RI Young Architects Award (NEW!)
This award seeks to celebrate a registered Architect under the age of 40 who shows aptitude in leadership, design excellence, public service, and innovation. The Young Architects Award recognizes the next generation of leaders who are already contributing to the profession and society in exceptional ways and will continue to do so throughout their career.
Mentorship Award (NEW!)
This award celebrates the individuals who are fostering and supporting the next generation of Architects in Rhode Island. This is a way to say “thank you” to someone who has helped shape your career, and who deserves to be recognized for their tireless efforts. Beyond being awarded to traditionally-practicing Architects and professionals (though they’re eligible too), this award can also be given to those working in non-profits or in education.
